Our Story

talkaPH was built by a Filipino who knows that the Philippines is not one language β€” it is many.

Why talkaPH exists

Most language learning apps teach Tagalog and call it Filipino. But if you travel to Cebu, Davao, or Iloilo, Tagalog alone will not get you far. The Philippines has over 180 languages, and millions of Filipinos speak Cebuano or Ilonggo as their first language.

talkaPH was created to bridge that gap β€” a free resource where travelers, overseas workers, and language lovers can learn real Filipino languages the way they are actually spoken, with native audio from a Filipino voice.
